The eight kootas in plain language

Varna, vashya, tara, yoni, graha maitri, gana, bhakoot and nadi each measure a facet of compatibility — temperament, health progeny, emotional rhythm and more. A total above eighteen is traditionally considered acceptable; above twenty-four is favourable.

Yet a high score alone does not guarantee shanti grihastha. Low scores in nadi or bhakoot demand deeper chart comparison, not automatic cancellation.
